Rio Seco Variscite Necklace

I'm a freak for variscite almost as much as I am for turquoise! The two materials are often found very close to one another and form under extremely similar circumstances. I like to think of them as sister stones! This specific material is Neptune Variscite which is mined in Nevada. This one is special even among its own mine as the majority of the material that you see coming out of it doesn't have the color spectrum that this one does. The colors in this stone range from mint to a sagey green-yellow color. 

This piece measures at 1.75" across by 1.25". The chain is currently 18" long, but can be shortened upon request before shipping. 

Stamped sterling and signed with my maker's mark.
